Choose the vehicle line and cab before decoding its trim. Chevrolet's regular pickups, Bonus/Crew cabs and Blazers did not use one interchangeable seat-and-color chart. The tables below describe the checked factory sheets and their individual revision dates. They establish listed choices, not the original equipment of a surviving vehicle.
How to use the selector
- Identify pickup versus Blazer, then the pickup cab and series
- Match the decor option and seat type before looking up the interior color/code
- Treat the paint-layout code and primary/secondary exterior color numbers as separate fields
- Keep the source date with the result, then compare the truck's own SPID, build sheet or other genuine factory record
Use this page to look up factory charts; it does not automatically decode a VIN or SPID label. A repaint, replacement seat or matching code alone cannot prove originality. Missing rows are reported as unlisted in the checked sheets; they do not prove that every exceptional order or later update was impossible.
Choose the model and cab

| C30 Bonus Cab | CC30943 8-ft | Same three groups | P23 |
| C30 Crew Cab | CC30963 8-ft | Same three groups | P27 |
| C10 Blazer | CC10516 | Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne Z84 | B3 |
| K10 Blazer | CK10516 | Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne Z84 | B7 |
Regular-pickup model leaves show E62 Stepside and E63 Fleetside. Bonus/Crew pickup leaves show E63 Fleetside. The Blazer sheets list Z58 white top and Z59 black top, both at 106.5-inch wheelbase. Pickup body lengths above are not wheelbase measurements. [P3–P35 as individually indexed; B3/B7]
Pickup wheelbases
Wheelbase measures axle-centerline separation, not cargo-box length. Chevrolet’s August 1975 model-and-dimensions chart lists:
- 117.5 inches: CC10703 and CK10703, the 6½-foot regular pickups
- 131.5 inches: CC10903, CC20903, CC30903, CK10903 and CK20903, the 8-foot regular pickups
- 164.5 inches: CC20943, CC20963, CC30943 and CC30963, the C20/C30 Bonus and Crew Cab 8-foot Fleetsides
An 8-foot box therefore does not identify wheelbase by itself. Match the model number and cab name; E62/E63 remain separate body-ordering codes. These are historical Chevrolet specifications, not verified dimensions or original-equipment findings for an individual survivor.

Cab configuration and box material
Chevrolet’s September 1975 brochure describes two four-door C20/C30 cabs. The 3+3 Crew Cab seats six people. The Bonus Cab seats three, with enclosed cargo space behind the front seat. Both use the same pickup wheelbase, so four doors and wheelbase alone do not tell them apart. [C1, p. 3]
The seven-character model number adds another check. The 1976 service manual uses endings 03 for conventional cab, 43 for Bonus Cab and 63 for Crew Cab. E63 is a separate body-ordering code for Fleetside. It is not the Crew Cab model ending. [C2, 0-2/PDF 8]
The Silverado equipment sheet dated August 29, 1975 excludes the Bonus Cab rear compartment from its carpeting. It lists a folding rear-seat backrest for Crew Cab. Seats and carpet seen in a truck today still need records tied to that vehicle before they can be called original. [C3, Pickup 5/PDF 8]
A wood floor alone does not identify a Stepside. Chevrolet’s dated single-rear-wheel Fleetside sheet lists the 98-inch box with a standard steel floor or optional E81 wood floor with steel skid strips. The shorter box uses steel only. Check these choices against the ordering rules that apply to the model. [C3, Pickup 10/PDF 13, August 29, 1975]

The existing model selector and wheelbase chart retain the listed model scope; these notes add no GMC, Canadian or undocumented configuration.
Regular pickup upholstery
These consolidated rows apply to the five regular-pickup model leaves P3, P7, P19, P31 and P35. “Custom Deluxe” is the standard decor group, not a statement that every seat in that group was standard equipment.
| Decor group | Seat type | Listed colors and codes |
|---|---|---|
| Custom Deluxe | Vinyl bench | Blue VDD1; Green VGG1; Red VRR1; Saddle VSS1 |
| Custom Deluxe, Z62, Z84 or YE9 | Custom vinyl buckets | Blue XDD2; Saddle XSS2 |
| Z62, Z84 or YE9 | Custom cloth bench | Blue LDD1; Green LGG1; Red LRR1; Saddle LSS1 |
| Z62, Z84 or YE9 | Custom vinyl bench | Blue XDD1; Green XGG1; Red XRR1; Saddle XSS1; Sand XTT1 |
| Z62 Scottsdale | Knit vinyl bench | Green NGG1; Red NRR1; Saddle NSS1; Blue/White NDW1 |
A useful distinction is the bucket-seat row: these regular-pickup charts list blue and saddle custom vinyl buckets. They do not list the green, red or sand bucket codes that appear in the separate Blazer chart. [P3/P7/P19/P31/P35]
NDW1 is a trim entry in the Scottsdale knit-vinyl bench row. These sheets do not make it a Spirit of ’76 authentication code or show that it was exclusive to a special package. Their column says “Blue/White”; retain that wording alongside the separately sourced Catalog 51 “red-white-blue” terminology. These pages do not independently decode the separate string 26E. [P3/P7/P19/P31/P35]
C10/K10 bench-seat construction and later replacement
Chevrolet’s C10 and K10 ordering sheets revised March 26, 1976 list AN1 folding seat back and Z52 full-depth-foam seat as separate entries. Both require a bench seat and are included with Scottsdale Z62, Cheyenne Z84 or Silverado YE9 in those sheets. A folding back and full-depth foam therefore describe distinct features.
Replacement parts can make the original seat harder to identify. GM’s February 1983 Catalog 51 says the spring assembly for the standard seat without full foam was not supplied as a replacement part. It describes replacement with both the spring and pad for the full-foam seat. The trim assembly fits either type of seat. A full-foam cushion or matching seat cover alone cannot prove which seat the truck had when new.

Bonus and Crew Cab upholstery
The C20/C30 Bonus and Crew Cab leaves have only blue, red and saddle interior columns. Their decor boxes list Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale and Silverado; they do not list a Cheyenne group. No bucket-seat or knit-vinyl row appears in these charts. These are statements about the checked sheets, not proof against every undocumented exceptional order. [P11/P15/P23/P27]
| Decor group | Seat type | Listed colors and codes |
|---|---|---|
| Custom Deluxe or Z62 | Vinyl bench | Blue VDD1; Red VRR1; Saddle VSS1 |
| Z62 or YE9 | Custom cloth bench | Blue LDD1; Red LRR1; Saddle LSS1 |
| Z62 or YE9 | Custom vinyl bench | Blue XDD1; Red XRR1; Saddle XSS1 |
The separate January 16, 1976 sales chart corroborates this Bonus/Crew distinction. A code's presence in the regular-cab chart is not a reason to transplant it into the Bonus/Crew table. [H13]
Blazer upholstery
C10 and K10 Blazer use the same listed color/code choices on B3 and B7. These differ from the pickup chart.
| Decor group | Seat type | Listed colors and codes |
|---|---|---|
| Custom Deluxe | Vinyl bucket seat | Blue VDD2; Green VGG2; Red VRR2; Saddle VSS2 |
| Custom Deluxe | Custom vinyl bucket seats | Blue XDD2; Green XGG2; Red XRR2; Saddle XSS2 |
| Z84 Cheyenne | Custom vinyl bucket seats | Blue XDD2; Green XGG2; Red XRR2; Saddle XSS2; Sand XTT2 |
| Z84 Cheyenne | Custom cloth bucket seats | Saddle KSS2 |
The Custom Deluxe custom-vinyl row includes the A57 seat; the Cheyenne heading also includes A57. The singular wording of the basic “Vinyl Bucket Seat” is retained. The illustrated seat arrangements refer readers to the option section, so do not assume the rear seat is included merely because it is pictured. KSS2 is the Blazer cloth-bucket entry; it should not be replaced with the pickup cloth-bench code LSS1. [B3/B7]
Blazer belt timing
The September 1975 Chevrolet Blazer brochure says the illustrated combination lap-shoulder belts would be standard after January 1, 1976. This is a Blazer-specific standard-equipment statement, not a pickup or GMC production breakpoint and not proof of a survivor’s original installation.

Paint layouts
A layout code describes where primary and secondary exterior colors go. It is not the color number itself.
| Pickup layout | Source-defined treatment |
|---|---|
| ZY1 Solid | The painted cab, front sheet metal and box use the primary color |
| ZY2 Conventional two-tone | Secondary color on the cab roof and cab back above the belt line |
| ZY3 Special two-tone | Fleetside only; secondary color between the upper and lower body-side moldings; roof remains primary; includes YG1 |
| ZY4 Deluxe two-tone | Fleetside only; secondary color on the cab roof, cab back above the belt line, and between the upper and lower moldings; includes YG1 |
The January 16, 1976 pickup paint page supplies the placement descriptions; the individual Dealer Order Guide model leaves corroborate the code names and Fleetside limits. For moldings already included with a trim group, the detailed source explains that the paint treatment does not add a duplicate set. [H14; P3/P7/P11/P15/P19/P23/P27/P31/P35]
| Blazer layout | Source-defined treatment |
|---|---|
| ZY1 Solid | Top available in black or white |
| ZY3 Special two-tone | Top available in white only; secondary body color is white, code 12; includes YG1 |
Do not apply the pickup's ZY2/ZY4 offerings to Blazer merely because those codes are known elsewhere. B3 and B7 illustrate ZY1 and ZY3 only. [B3/B7]

These monochrome scans cannot serve as accurate color chips. “Sand” and “Saddle” are separate interior columns; neither should be treated as an exterior paint number without another source.
Chart marks are not a complete ordering rule
The earlier Chevrolet sales charts H12 and H13 call the marked exterior/interior color pairs recommendations. They also let customers choose other combinations with an available interior color. The Dealer Order Guide pages do not repeat that explanation. This reference keeps each source’s chart marks separate. A blank box alone does not prove that the factory banned a combination. The stated limits for model, body, seat and paint layout still apply.
One bounded comparison shows why dates matter:
| Exterior primary/secondary | Blue/White column in H12, August 29 1975 | Blue/White column in C10 P3, revised February 18 1976 |
|---|---|---|
| 25/25 Catalina Blue | Marked | Marked |
| 25/12 Catalina Blue/Frost White | Marked | Marked |
| 12/12 Frost White | Marked | Marked |
| 73/73 Crimson Red | Not marked | Marked |
| 73/12 Crimson Red/Frost White | Not marked | Marked |
This is a literal comparison of five chart entries, not evidence that a red/Blue-White combination first became orderable on February 18. The earlier chart's recommendation disclaimer prevents that inference. No full exterior/interior matrix is claimed here. [H12, printed Pickup 12/PDF 15; P3, printed/PDF 3]
