How RareTruckInfo Research Works
Using Chevrolet’s 1976 service manuals
The 1976 Chevrolet 10–30 Series book is a supplement. Its foreword says it accompanies the 1974 service and overhaul manuals and directs readers to a separate wiring booklet. The older dates are part of the intended reference set.
| Document | Role in the set |
|---|---|
| 1976 supplement, ST-330-76 | Read the relevant service or overhaul section for its 1976 changes and references to the base books. Preserve any exceptions printed in that section. |
| 1974 Truck Chassis Service Manual, ST-330-74 | The base truck-service reference used where the 1976 supplement carries its information forward. |
| 1974 Overhaul Manual, ST-333-74 | Major-component disassembly and assembly. This book also covers Chevrolet passenger cars, so check the component and truck application of the section. |
Wiring is separate. The 1976 foreword names Truck Wiring Diagram booklet ST-352-76. Our wiring-source note identifies a five-page C/K extract: its cover and A-4724 Sheets 1–4. That selection does not represent the complete all-model booklet.
Record the section as well as the page. Service and overhaul sections can repeat printed page numbers. A useful citation names the book, the service or overhaul half, the printed page when present and the PDF page. A page added to the 1976 supplement does not by itself establish that its component was introduced in 1976.
