Photographed identification plate
AutoHunter lot 24139662 identifies this pickup as a 1976 Chevrolet C10, VIN CCL146S189385. Photo 27 shows the same full identifier stamped on a GM identification/rating and camper-warning plate. Independent selected-image review confirms the VIN, GVWR 4,900 lb and front GAWR 3,100 lb. The rear GAWR is cropped after the visible “31…” and is not completed from inference.
The photographed plate warns against using the truck to carry a slide-in camper; part of the sentence is clipped at the right edge. No manufacture-date field or complete federal conformity declaration is visible on this piece. Its historical ratings do not establish present safe capacity, original equipment, or the plate’s authenticity and original installation.
Auction account
The auction describes a restored, two-wheel-drive, metallic-gray pickup with red cloth upholstery and a short stepside bed. It attributes the powertrain to a replacement 2001 Vortec 5.3-liter V8 installed in 2013 and a TH350 automatic. Those engine dates describe the seller’s replacement-engine account, not the vehicle’s build year. Its factory-air-conditioning claim is unverified; the seller said the compressor was absent and the system was disconnected.
The listing reports 40,000 miles showing and approximately 100,000 miles on the chassis. Those are separate seller-reported figures, with no rollover calculation or verified lifetime mileage. AutoHunter displays Sold, a winning bid of USD 23,000 and an end date of August 9, 2022. This records the platform’s result, not independently verified payment or delivery. Crystal, Minnesota is the historical listing location; current custody is unknown.
Review limits
All 27 exposed still images were screened, and photo 27 was examined at its linked 1000×750 size. No readable SPID, buildsheet, invoice or order form was identified in that set. Three linked videos were not assessed. The auction and market-result references form one appearance, not independent corroboration or additional vehicles. Original trim, factory options, manufacture date, artifact authenticity, component originality and later history remain unresolved. No source images or private personal details are reproduced.
