Evidence status

Probable vehicle record with newly readable photographed-document support: the SPID and warranty form both show CCV146A139412. The evidence supports the 1976 identification while preserving the conflicting 1975 GAA catalog wording. Photographic readings do not authenticate the artifacts, original installation or current components.

Factory documents

SPID photograph: CCV146A139412, model CC10903, literal W/BASE 1315; LF5 V-8 ENGINE-350 CID-2; M40 with clipped Turbo Hydra-Matic wording; Z62 SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT; ZY1 SOLID PAINT; 73L 73 CRIMSON RED-SOLID; 73W red custom-vinyl wording clipped. Warranty form: same full VIN, printed 1976 application and April 19, 1976 delivery/service-date entry. These are selected readings from source-hosted photographs, with authenticity and original installation unverified.

Physical vehicle evidence

The seller gallery shows the SPID photograph, the warranty form and a group of other manuals/papers associated with the red pickup. All 96 exposed stills were screened, with 96 unique image hashes; the linked video was not reviewed. No separate readable VIN/rating plate, build sheet or invoice was identified in that still set. Other paperwork contents are not adopted without a readable VIN association.

Owner or seller statements

GAA called the truck a 1975 Scottsdale and recorded a November 6, 2025 no-sale at a $14,500 high bid. Pederson's called it a 1976 Scottsdale long bed with a 350 V8, automatic, 22,374 indicated miles with lifetime mileage unknown, and $26,995 ask; it reported an owner's manual, warranty card, and dealer checklist.

Later research

The reported VIN contains model-year character 6 and plant character A, consistent with a 1976 Lakewood-built truck if the VIN is confirmed on the vehicle. GAA's 1975 label is a catalog conflict, not evidence of a second truck. The recovered SPID and warranty photographs now corroborate the exact listed VIN. The warranty date is a form entry, not a manufacture date. GAA’s original page remains under its earlier access hold and was not revisited.

Open questions

Verify artifact authenticity and original installation; recover a separate readable VIN/rating plate and additional factory or dealer documents. Establish which present components survive from the documented configuration, fuller ownership continuity, any later transaction and current custody. Keep unreviewed video and private document details outside the evidence claim.

Identity and photographed documents

Pederson’s Classics listing ClassicCars CC-2071399, stock R-139412 prints CCV146A139412. Its photographed Service Parts Identification (SPID) label and warranty form each repeat that full identifier. These source-hosted images were inspected on October 4, 2026. The VIN’s model-year character 6 and the warranty form’s printed 1976 application support the listing’s 1976 identification; GAA lot TH0238’s 1975 catalog label remains recorded as a conflicting source description of the same VIN.

Selected document readings

The SPID shows model CC10903 and literal W/BASE 1315. Selected entries include LF5 V-8 ENGINE-350 CID-2, M40 with a clipped Turbo Hydra-Matic description, Z62 SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT, ZY1 SOLID PAINT and 73L 73 CRIMSON RED-SOLID. The 73W row describes red custom vinyl, with its wording clipped at the right edge. W/BASE 1315 is preserved literally; no manufacture date is inferred from the label’s other header numbers.

The warranty form repeats CCV146A139412 and has an April 19, 1976 entry in the field headed Date of Delivery to First Retail Purchaser, with “Service Date if Applicable” printed beneath it. This is a photographed form entry, not a manufacture date or independent verification of a completed ownership transfer. Other literature and papers are shown in the gallery, but no private owner, address, signature or title detail is transcribed.

Market and originality limits

GAA reported a November 6, 2025 no-sale at a $14,500 high bid. The Pederson listing displays a $26,995 asking price and a sold/no-longer-available banner; that banner supplies no later transaction amount or date. Its 350 V8, automatic, 22,374-mile odometer reading, originality narrative and service history remain dealer statements about the offered truck. Lifetime mileage is unknown. The label readings do not establish that the installed drivetrain, paint, trim or other components are original.

Remaining evidence

The 96 exposed still photographs were screened; the linked video was not reviewed. A separate readable VIN/rating plate, build sheet or invoice was not identified in that still set. Artifact authenticity, original label installation, fuller provenance and current custody remain unresolved. No source photographs or private document details are reproduced.
