Three VIN-matched artifacts
Cool Classic Rides stock CCR76CP8185, syndicated as ClassicCars CC-1817932, describes this 1976 Chevrolet as a C20 3+3 pickup. The full VIN CCS246Z128185 is independently readable in three photographed artifacts: the SPID in photo 53, the white GM conformity label in photo 77 and the metal GM identification/loading plate in photo 78. Selected readings passed independent image review.
The white label records 04/76, TRUCK, GVWR 8,200 lb, front GAWR 3,800 lb and rear GAWR 5,560 lb, with a federal-conformity statement tied to the manufacture date shown. The metal plate repeats the VIN and those ratings. It separately reads CWR 1891, DIM A 57IN and DIM B 0IN under camper-loading C.G. data, with a warranty warning about loading beyond the ratings and a reference to the owner’s manual. The metal piece does not itself supply a manufacture date or full conformity declaration. These historical inscriptions do not establish present safe capacity, artifact authenticity or original installation.
Selected SPID entries
The SPID reads model CC20963 and literal W/BASE 1645. No decimal is inserted and no unit conversion is made in that transcription. Clear rows include LF8 V8 ENGINE – 454 C.I.; M20 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANS; G80 LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL; Z62 SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT; ZY1 SOLID PAINT; A52 FRONT BENCH SEAT; and E63 FLEETSIDE PICKUP BOX.
The model’s final 63 corresponds to Crew Cab in Chevrolet’s 1976 model legend; the separate E63 row describes the Fleetside pickup box. The A52 row identifies a front bench, and these label readings do not authenticate the truck’s current rear-seat arrangement or its originality. Chevrolet ST-330-76, model legend, printed page 0-2.
The 26W row reads XDD1 BLUE CUSTOM VIN and the 20L row reads 20 SKYLINE BLUE-SOLI, preserving their shortened printed endings. The unlabelled upper number is not interpreted as a date. These entries document the photographed label’s content; they do not verify retention of original components, finish or upholstery.
Dealer account and review scope
The dealer describes a blue, two-wheel-drive pickup with a 454 V8 and four-speed manual. It attributes the truck’s history to California farm use and reports carburetor, exhaust and brake work, plus replacement dash pad, carpet, upholstery and headliner. Those history, condition and installed-equipment statements remain seller claims. The listed 81,493 miles do not establish lifetime mileage. USD 19,500 is an asking price; the sold/unavailable marker establishes neither a transaction date nor a paid amount. Sherwood, Oregon is the historical listing location, not verified current custody.
All 78 exposed stills were screened, with selected full-size review of the three labels. No separate buildsheet, invoice or order form was identified in that set. No video was assessed. This is one dealer/syndication source family, with three photographed artifacts rather than independent source families. Original-component retention, label authenticity and original installation, later history and lifetime mileage remain unresolved. No source images or private personal details are reproduced.
