Evidence status

Verified for the exact VIN repeated on the photographed SPID and Chevrolet warranty/dealer papers. The SPID supports the selected as-built model, engine, transmission, paint and trim entries below. The warranty record documents first retail delivery on September 18, 1976 at 243 indicated miles; neither source establishes lifetime mileage or that every present component remains original.

Factory documents

The original source-gallery SPID photograph independently inspected September 30, 2026 repeats VIN CCD146S201923, model CC10903 and a 131.5-inch wheelbase. Selected clearly readable entries are LD4 L6 engine–250 cu. in., M15 three-speed manual transmission, E63 Fleetside pickup box, G50 heavy-duty rear springs, F59 front stabilizer bar, ZY1 solid paint, 12L Frost White and 73V VRR1 red vinyl bench. The separate warranty folder records September 18, 1976 and 243 miles at first retail delivery. No factory build sheet, certification label, invoice, window sticker or readable Protect-O-Plate card has been recovered in the reviewed source set.

Physical vehicle evidence

The archived vehicle gallery shows a white Chevrolet Fleetside with red plaid bench-seat presentation, a column-shift manual and an inline-six engine bay. The photographs do not prove original installation, untouched paint or current condition.

Owner or seller statements

The 2020 seller described a C10 Custom Deluxe, 250-cu-in six, three-speed manual, one-family history, Frost White paint, red plaid interior and 17,933 miles. One-family history, originality and lifetime mileage remain seller claims; the paper-file photograph does not independently establish them.

Later research

Barn Finds, a TopClassicCars mirror and eBay item 133445474071 are repeated presentations of the same June 2020 offering under one VIN. The eBay route is currently unavailable. Topeka is on the historical dealer papers and Bonner Springs was the 2020 listing location; neither establishes current custody.

Sources

Barn Finds: June 2020 C10 Custom Deluxe classified and source gallery (reviewed September 26, 2026). The photographed dealer and warranty papers repeat VIN CCD146S201923. The TopClassicCars mirror and unavailable eBay item 133445474071 are the same offering, not independent vehicle sightings.

Barn Finds source-gallery SPID image 21, independently read September 30, 2026: exact VIN and selected factory entries; linked rather than reproduced.

Open questions

No factory build sheet, certification label, dealer invoice, window sticker or readable Protect-O-Plate card has been recovered. The complete option list, lifetime mileage, component/paint originality, sale result, current custody and present condition remain unverified. The SPID's red-vinyl-bench entry and the later photographed red plaid seat presentation should remain distinct until the upholstery history is established.

Record identity

This 1976 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe Fleetside is documented under exact VIN CCD146S201923. Exact VIN CCD146S201923 is independently readable on the source-gallery SPID and the dealer/warranty papers, and the same VIN appears in the June 2020 Barn Finds offering.

Dealer and warranty records

The preserved paper-file photograph shows a 1976 Chevrolet light-duty truck owner’s manual, an L6 emissions-maintenance schedule, a Chevrolet truck warranty-information folder, Kent Brown Chevrolet dealer materials, and a General Motors/Chevrolet vehicle-label sheet. The VIN is legible on multiple papers. The warranty folder records first retail delivery on September 18, 1976 and 243 miles at delivery.

Factory SPID

The original source-gallery SPID photograph independently inspected September 30, 2026 repeats VIN CCD146S201923, model CC10903 and a 131.5-inch wheelbase. Selected clearly readable entries are LD4 L6 engine–250 cu. in., M15 three-speed manual transmission, E63 Fleetside pickup box, G50 heavy-duty rear springs, F59 front stabilizer bar, ZY1 solid paint, 12L Frost White and 73V VRR1 red vinyl bench. The separate warranty folder records September 18, 1976 and 243 miles at first retail delivery. No factory build sheet, certification label, invoice, window sticker or readable Protect-O-Plate card has been recovered in the reviewed source set.

The SPID is now independently read; no option codes are inferred from the separate dealer vehicle-label sheet.

Seller and listing statements

The Barn Finds listing describes a 250-cu-in inline-six, column-shift three-speed manual transmission, Frost White exterior, red plaid interior, one-family history, and 17,933 indicated miles in 2020. These remain seller statements. The photographed delivery record does not establish lifetime mileage, present mechanical condition, or complete factory configuration.

Source identity and provenance

Barn Finds June 2020 classified and source gallery (checked September 26, 2026), a TopClassicCars mirror, and the now-unavailable eBay item 133445474071 reproduce the same VIN, description, and photograph set from one offering. They are one vehicle appearance, not independent survivor discoveries. Topeka, Kansas is documented by the delivery papers, and Bonner Springs, Kansas is the dated 2020 listing location. Neither is treated as verified current location.

Open questions

The SPID’s red-vinyl-bench entry and the later photographed red plaid seat presentation should remain distinct until the upholstery history is established.

Current custody, lifetime mileage, sale result, present condition, exact factory option list, and originality remain unresolved. The dealer/warranty papers corroborate a first retail delivery date and an indicated 243 miles at delivery, but do not resolve those later questions. No third-party photograph or private owner detail is reproduced here.
