Evidence status

Verified exact VIN and selected factory equipment from a photographed GM Service Parts Identification label. YG8 Bonanza Package C and Z62 Scottsdale are on that label; they do not by themselves establish Spirit of ’76 treatment or current component originality.

Factory documents

The SPID reads CCL146A121093, CC10903, YG8 Bonanza Package C, Z62 Scottsdale, LS9 350 V8, M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic, 73E red knit vinyl trim and 73L/73 Crimson Red solid paint. No build sheet, certification label, invoice or window sticker has been recovered. The label does not show a separate Spirit designation or the patriotic 26E/NDW1 trim.

Physical vehicle evidence

The gallery shows a Bonanza 10 fender emblem, adjacent Chevrolet bicentennial medallion, red interior and ordinary door panels. A seat cover obscures much of the upholstery; no Spirit shields or exterior graphics are visible in the reviewed images. Visible features and their current condition do not prove every part remains factory original.

Owner or seller statements

The seller called it a Big 10, second-owner, garage-kept truck with 157,000 miles. Big 10 is seller wording without a supporting identified factory code on this SPID. The listing’s structured field says clear title, while its narrative says Georgia transfer would use registration and notarized bill of sale because no pre-1985 title was issued; the discrepancy remains unresolved. Rockmart was the listing location, not verified current custody.

Later research

This VIN documents YG8 Bonanza and Z62 Scottsdale with red knit/Crimson Red specification, while the available photographs lack visible Spirit treatment. Bonanza package evidence is distinct from Spirit authentication; no production-count conclusion follows.

Open questions

Can a build sheet, invoice or dealer paperwork establish any separate Spirit equipment or the seller’s Big 10 claim? What is the original seat material beneath the cover, and which present parts are original? How was title/registration transferred, and what are current custody and condition?

Vehicle identity and factory evidence

The photographed GM Service Parts Identification label prints VIN CCL146A121093 and model CC10903, a 1976 Chevrolet C10 long-bed pickup. It lists YG8 Bonanza Package C, Z62 Scottsdale equipment, LS9 350-cubic-inch V8, M40 automatic transmission, 73E red knit vinyl trim, and 73L Crimson Red paint. This verifies the listed factory configuration; it does not establish a separate Spirit of ’76 package.

Surviving features and provenance

The archived gallery shows a Bonanza 10 fender emblem, a Chevrolet bicentennial medallion, and red interior. The visible photographs do not show Spirit graphics or door-panel shields; a seat cover obscures much of the seat. A listing placed the truck in Rockmart, Georgia. Its second-owner, Big 10, garage-kept and 157,000-mile descriptions are seller claims, and the listing date/current location are unverified.
