Evidence status

Verified exact VIN on photographed SPID, GM metal loading plate and dealer-file inspection form. SPID supports original LS9 350/M40 automatic; the Bonus Cab identity is supported by physical layout and badge, with no separate package code established. Current engine and actual mileage remain unresolved.

Factory documents

The photographed SPID shows CCL236B160196 and readable LS9 350 V8, M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic, 41L Spring Green and 63V Saddle vinyl among its codes. A metal GM plate repeats the VIN and 7,500-lb GVWR; its rear GAWR is cropped. A Chevrolet dealer-file new-vehicle inspection form independently repeats the VIN. These are photographed source documents, not scans republished here.

Physical vehicle evidence

Auction photographs show a four-door cab with rear-seat-delete/storage arrangement and Bonus Cab badge. They support the physical identity, not a separate SPID package code or proof of every surviving component’s originality.

Owner or seller statements

BigIron/Sullivan described a currently installed updated 383 and 3,902 miles showing; Mecum advertised a 350 and 3,939 shown. Both are attributed listing statements. Neither establishes the present engine by inspected engine number, and mileage remains TMU.

Later research

BigIron marked March 2, 2026 sold without a verified public price; Tulsa’s $25,000 high bid was unsold. Mecum’s first-party Nashville lot F293 page directly prints exact VIN, $27,000 and “Bid Goes On” for September 25, 2026, so $27,000 is classified as an unsuccessful bid/no-sale result. The $30,000–$40,000 Mecum presale estimate is not realized value. These are repeat appearances of VIN CCL236B160196, not additional vehicles.

Open questions

Seek a verified BigIron sale amount. Inspect present engine numbers or swap documentation to resolve 383 versus 350; factory SPID 350 is separate. No standalone Bonus Cab option code, manufacture date, lifetime mileage or current location is established.

VIN-matched documents

1976 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe Bonus Cab, VIN CCL236B160196. Auction photographs show a glovebox Service Parts Identification label, metal GM VIN/loading plate, and Chevrolet dealer-file new-vehicle inspection form; all repeat the exact VIN. The SPID supports factory LS9 350 V8, M40 automatic, Spring Green paint and Saddle vinyl trim. The photographed four-door cab, rear-seat-delete/storage layout and Bonus Cab badge support that identity. No separate factory Bonus Cab option code is established from the label.

One truck, several market appearances

BigIron/Sullivan item IA9992, Mecum Tulsa 2026 and Mecum Nashville 2026 lot F293 are appearances of this same VIN. BigIron marked its March 2 listing sold without a verified public price. Tulsa did not sell at a $25,000 high bid. Mecum’s first-party Nashville page directly prints the exact VIN, $27,000 and “Bid Goes On” for September 25, 2026; that amount is an unsuccessful bid/no-sale result, not a completed transaction. Mecum’s $30,000–$40,000 estimate was not a transaction. BigIron described an updated 383 V8 then installed, while Mecum Nashville advertised a 350. No inspected engine number or installation document resolves the present engine. Odometer displays of 3,902 and 3,939 do not establish lifetime miles. Lebanon, Tennessee is a dated auction venue only and does not establish current custody.
