Evidence status

Verified scope: the photographed GM Service Parts Identification label reads VIN CKL146F450233. BaT lot 224,202 prints the same chassis and a December 20, 2025 $30,500 auction result. VIN and label do not by themselves establish current drivetrain originality or special-edition identity.

Factory documents

VIN-matched SPID photograph reviewed September 26, 2026: CK10703, 117.5-inch wheelbase, LS9 350 V8, M15 three-speed manual, Z62 Scottsdale, NL2 auxiliary tank, C60 air conditioning, N67 Rally wheels, U16 tachometer, 26W blue custom vinyl and 25L Catalina Blue solid paint are legible. These describe listed factory equipment, not proof all parts survive. The photograph is not reproduced here.

Physical vehicle evidence

BaT gallery depicts a Stepside truck with metallic-blue finish, blue cabin, Rally-style wheels and wood bed floor. The seller reports 2024 repaint/refurbishment, so appearance does not establish original finish or components.

Owner or seller statements

The auction seller reports 2023 acquisition, 2024 repaint and mechanical work, an aftermarket camshaft and air-conditioning equipment without compressor. Five-digit 55k odometer is shown; lifetime mileage is unresolved.

Later research

The label’s 25L Catalina Blue and 26W blue vinyl entries can be compared with the later metallic-blue paint and cabin. This is a document-to-current-condition comparison, not an independent originality finding.

Bring a Trailer lot 224,202, 1976 K10 Scottsdale Stepside (auction result and seller description checked September 26, 2026; sold December 20, 2025 for $30,500). A VIN-matched SPID photograph supplied for review was transcribed as text; the photograph is not reproduced here. The preserved full-label SPID photograph was rechecked September 30, 2026. Its engine row reads LS9 beside the 350-cubic-inch V8 description, correcting the earlier L59 transcription.

Open questions

Inspect present engine and transmission identifiers and any original paint/trim remnants; resolve lifetime mileage and repeat exact-VIN appearances. The VIN-matched SPID lists factory equipment but does not establish the present components are original.

1976 Chevrolet K10 Scottsdale Stepside 4×4, chassis CKL146F450233 in Bring a Trailer lot 224,202. A photographed Service Parts Identification (SPID) label supplied for review repeats this exact VIN and model CK10703. Its legible codes include LS9 350-cu-in V8, M15 three-speed manual transmission, Z62 Scottsdale equipment, NL2 auxiliary fuel tank, C60 air conditioning, N67 Rally wheels, U16 tachometer, 26W blue custom vinyl and 25L Catalina Blue solid paint; the image also shows a 117.5-inch wheelbase. The label is factory equipment evidence, while the present drivetrain and completeness still require separate inspection. The seller reports a metallic-blue repaint in 2024, a replaced wood bed floor and other refurbishment. Current paint and cabin parts therefore should not be read as untouched factory finishes. The seller says a compressor is absent from the air-conditioning system and an aftermarket camshaft is installed. Five-digit 55k shown is not a proven lifetime total. Bring a Trailer reports $30,500 sold December 20, 2025. No Spirit of ’76 identity is established. Source: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-chevrolet-k10-pickup-12/ (checked September 26, 2026).
