Photographed manufacturer and conformity label
Scribner Auction lot 1024, item 59567276, is cataloged as a 1976 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe 20 with VIN CCL2461164579. Original photo 36 shows the same full identifier on a label headed MFD BY GENERAL MOTORS OF CANADA LTD. The numeric 1 immediately after the model-year 6 is retained literally; no plant-name expansion is proposed.
The photographed label shows a manufacture-date entry of 5/76 above a statement that the vehicle conformed to the applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards in effect on the manufacture date shown above. It also prints GVWR 7100, GAWR FRT 3800 REAR 4880, and TRUCK. These are photographed label readings. No mass-unit legend is visible on this label, and the numbers are not converted or presented as a present safe load rating. The manufacturer name is not an independently verified assembly location, and the label does not establish present legal compliance, authenticity or original installation.
Auction description and visible condition
The original page marks the truck sold in the April 11, 2026 estate auction at Flagstaff County, Alberta. The catalog calls the color blue, the engine a small-block V8 and the transmission standard; it says the odometer was not visible. These are auction descriptions, not verified original powertrain specifications, lifetime mileage or current condition.
The gallery shows a blue regular-cab pickup, Custom Deluxe 20 exterior badges, areas of rust and paint loss, a manual floor shift and an installed engine. Neither the badges nor the present appearance establish the truck’s complete factory configuration or original component retention. Photo 41 shows the auction’s lot 1024 placard, associating the gallery with the catalog appearance.
Coverage and open questions
All 41 exposed original stills were screened on October 4, 2026 UTC. The full identifier is readable on one manufacturer/conformity label. No readable SPID, build sheet, invoice, order form or separate metal VIN/rating plate was identified in those stills. The catalog and gallery are one auction source family.
A readable SPID or original ordering record is still needed to document the original engine, transmission, axle, paint, trim and options. Label authenticity and original installation, assembly location, full factory configuration, component originality, lifetime mileage, later custody and present condition remain unverified. No source photographs, bidder identifiers or private owner details are reproduced.
