Evidence status

Verified for exact VIN and selected entries visible on the photographed SPID and two VIN-bearing labels, including C75 Chalet conversion and LF4 400 V8. The conflicting GVWR readings remain unresolved; whole-truck authenticity, installed-engine identity, mileage and custody are not verified.

Factory documents

McPherson Auction lot 290 identifies CKU186F187647. Its photographed Service Parts Identification label repeats the VIN and model CK10516, with C75 Chalet Camper Conversion, LF4 400 V8, M40 automatic, GT4 3.73 axle, Z84 Cheyenne equipment, C60 air conditioning, A51 bucket seats, K30 cruise control, N33 Comfortilt steering, N67 Rally wheels and U63 AM radio. These document readings support the recorded specification; they do not authenticate every surviving component. Two photographed VIN-matched labels disagree: the GM metal plate reads 5,700-lb GVWR, while the certification label reads 6,700-lb GVWR. Both show front/rear GAWR of 3,300/4,000 lb. The discrepancy remains unresolved. The certification label shows 06/76 beside the manufacturer heading and 05/76 beside the incomplete-vehicle and FMVSS-in-effect fields. No exact build or conversion day, or present safe capacity, is inferred.

Physical vehicle evidence

Source photographs show the Blazer Chalet badge, pop-up camper body, period striping and living-area equipment. Their survival is physical evidence; originality of individual present-day components is not assumed beyond what the VIN-matched factory documents establish.

Owner or seller statements

McPherson states the vehicle ran and drove and sold with title. The separate undated Barn Finds classified called the title clean, listed 102,534 miles, and described a 350 V8. Those are attributed seller claims; mileage is TMU and the 350 description does not override the LF4 400 specification printed on the photographed SPID.

Later research

A December 11, 2023 GM Square Body forum post reproduces an exact-VIN B & B/Craigslist advertisement describing a 350 V8. This is a dated secondary marketplace appearance, not proof of a sale. McPherson, Barn Finds and B & B/Craigslist identify one vehicle by exact VIN. Factory-document readings come from the photographed SPID and VIN-bearing labels.

Dated market evidence

McPherson marked the October 18, 2023 auction sold without displaying a final price. A separate undated Barn Finds classified prints the same VIN, a $10,000 asking price, 102,534 miles and a sold marker. Its 350 V8 description is a seller claim that does not override the SPID-listed LF4 400 specification. The sold marker does not prove the asking price was paid.
