VIN-matched Service Parts Identification label
Team Auctions lot 26GB02053-001, marked sold in its July 18, 2026 Taber, Alberta auction, is cataloged as a 1976 GMC MH226 Vandura Frontier 22-foot cutaway motorhome. Original gallery photo 47 shows a Service Parts Identification label with the full identifier printed as TGU3364 512089. TGU3364512089 is the same identifier with the space removed for indexing; the numeric 4 remains unchanged. The catalog prints the spaced identifier. Photo 48 places this label on the underside of the vehicle’s hood.
The SPID reads MODEL # TG31603 and W/BASE 146 IN. Its header includes Printed in U.S.A. and FEB 03 76. These are label inscriptions: the date’s event meaning is not independently established and is not adopted as a chassis-manufacture, conversion or delivery date. The printing statement does not establish the vehicle’s assembly location.
Selected label wording
Selected readable rows include GT8 REAR AXLE–4.10 RATIO; LF4 V-8 ENGINE–400 CID–4B; Z64 R.V. CHASSIS PACKAGE; Z73 CUSTOM INTERIOR; Z80 CUSTOM EXTERIOR; ZY1 SOLID PAINT; A01 SOFT-RAY TINTED GLASS; U63 AM PUSHBUTTON RADIO; and 89U and 89P POLAR WHITE. The label also shows M40 TURBO HYDRA-MATIC TRA… and ZV7 DELETE FREEDOM FEATUR…; wording cut off at the column edge is not completed from a code list.
ZV7’s photographed wording is evidence for this particular GMC label. It does not by itself define the deleted equipment, prove a Freedom ’76 conversion or establish the code’s meaning on Chevrolet pickups. Likewise Z64 describes a chassis-package inscription, not the identity or date of the motorhome converter. These are selected rows, not a complete transcription or proof that the current components, upholstery and finish remain original.
Separate converter artifacts
Photo 51 shows a Leisure Coach Inc. plate, with model MH22G and serial 60939-73. Photos 31–32 show a Recreational Vehicle CSA Specification Nameplate naming Leisure Coach Inc. and Frontier, with corresponding model/serial entries. The form concerns listed vehicle-converter systems and appliances. It is not a photographed GM incomplete-vehicle label, a GM VIN plate or a chassis certification document. The serial suffix is retained without treating it as a year.
These converter artifacts and the GM SPID appear in the same auction gallery. No GM VIN is readable on the converter pieces, so the gallery association is not a VIN-bearing document bridge proving the original chassis/body pairing or conversion date. The catalog’s MH226 model spelling differs from the photographed MH22G plate and remains separately attributed.
Auction description and research limits
The auction describes a 6.6-liter V8, automatic transmission and motorhome equipment. It reports 75,754 miles showing, while photo 8 shows odometer digits 074754 (74,754 with the leading zero omitted). Those two readings are retained as a source discrepancy; neither establishes lifetime mileage or current condition.
All 51 exposed original stills were screened. No readable separate GM VIN/rating plate, incomplete-vehicle label, chassis-conformity declaration, build sheet, order form or invoice was identified in that set. All photographs belong to one auction source family. The label’s authenticity and original installation, the converter’s original pairing and chronology, present mechanical condition, component originality and later custody remain unverified. No source photographs or private owner details are reproduced.
