Factory documents and identity
Archived photographs of the GM loading plate, two Service Parts Identification (SPID) views, and a GMC warranty folder repeat VIN TKU246Z518385. The SPID identifies model TK20903, LF4 400 V8, M40 automatic, E63 Fleetside, Z81 camper equipment, Z62 Scottsdale, G80 locking differential, J55 heavy-duty brakes, Crimson Red, and deluxe two-tone paint. “Scottsdale Equipment” is the literal Z62 wording on this photographed GMC label. It is preserved as a source transcription rather than normalized to another division’s trim name. Several SPID descriptions are cropped.
The original-resolution view of the same warranty-folder photograph clearly supports handwritten VIN TKU246Z518385. The delivery/service-date field reads 10/[overwritten day]/76: October 1976 is readable, but the exact day remains unresolved. The delivery-mileage field appears to read 8, with a small following ink stroke, so that reading remains qualified. These are warranty-folder entries, not a manufacture date, verified completed retail handover or lifetime-mileage proof. The sharper view is the same paper and photographic source chain, not a new independent artifact; document provenance remains unestablished. The original-resolution warranty photograph was reviewed October 2, 2026; personal fields are excluded.
Later appearances and limits
The Restore a Muscle Car Flickr album shows the truck under stock 1446 and links the Tom Wieck auction. The dealer, Motorious and Proxibid presentations are one VIN, not separate vehicles. The preserved Proxibid event 221899 lot 114 catalog reports $32,000 sold on June 25, 2022; buyer-premium treatment is unknown. Its direct catalog page and the dealer detail page were unavailable in the September 26, 2026 check, so that result is attributed to the archived catalog.
Seller low-mileage and condition descriptions are claims. About 29,608 displayed on a five-digit odometer does not establish lifetime mileage. Motorious metadata described a 350 and orange/white, conflicting with the VIN-matched SPID’s factory 400 and Crimson Red paint line. The present engine, paint condition, ownership, and location have not been independently established.
Sources
The Restore a Muscle Car source album and preserved dealer gallery document this exact VIN. The GM loading-plate and SPID close-up photographs were directly retrieved and visually rechecked September 30, 2026; their bytes match the preserved source images. The archived Proxibid lot supports the separately qualified June 25, 2022 catalog result; its current page was unavailable in this review. Source photographs and personal warranty-folder information are not reproduced.
